Working with KI Atelier

Consultation

First, get in touch and make an appointment with our design team to join us in the showroom. This is your opportunity to put your ideas on paper, or if you don’t know where to start, let us help you create them.

At this time, bring your room dimensions. We’ll discuss appliances, fixtures and finishes, but you’ll still have time to make specific decisions later on.

Presentation

In our second meeting you’ll start to see your kitchen come to life. We’ll present our proposals, drawings and estimates. We’ll explain our ideas and recommendations, providing our expertise and rationale behind the designs. We hope you love what you see!

If you’re happy with the proposal and wish to proceed, the next step is a design retainer. This will need to be signed prior to any drawings being released or amended, and site visit arranged. The design retainer is credited to your account when an order is placed. If the purchase is not completed within 6 months of the retainer, this retainer will serve as compensation for our services rendered.

Making it your own

After a site visit by your designer, measurements and site conditions will be confirmed and changes may be made if necessary. Once we have the final design, we’ll issue a contract with a quote for the final project. This quote will include the supply and install of cabinetry as per drawings.

Confirmation and Order

Your dream space is almost ready to come to life.

In order to move forward, a signed contract and deposit is required. 50% of the total contract is due upon signing. During this stage, final drawings will be completed and cabinetry will be ordered. Once the supplies arrive in Vancouver, another 50% of the contract will be due.

Installation

Once an installation date is mutually decided, we’ll work with your contractors to confirm the status of your site. Final payment is due at installation. Installation times vary by the the size of the project, but we’ll be sure to keep in close contact with you and visit the site regularly.
